North Star Mining Museum: Look for the Wolf Creek Trail sign at the corner of Freeman Lane and Allison Ranch Road. (N39.208862 W121.069750)
Freeman Lane – Grass Valley Animal Control: Along Freeman Lane, park in designated parking spots in front of the Wastewater Treatment Plant and Animal Control facilities.
Freeman Lane – Between Tripps Auto Body and Jamba Juice: Parking is also available at the top of the switchbacks at the sinkhole.
River Otter Road: On Freeman Lane, pass through the 4-Way Stop by Wolf Creek Lodge Cohousing and continue down the hill to River Otter Road and take a right. Look for the yellow trailhead poles and a paved trail.
Trail Facts: The City of Grass Valley opened the trail in 2018. The trail passes by the North Star Mining Museum and Glenn Jones Park. Wolf Creek runs parallel to the trail and crosses Little Wolf Creek. BYLT was contracted by the City to create natural earth trails that branch off from the main paved trail, providing a more natural experience closer to the water. These trails were expanded and signage was installed by BYLT in 2020 -2021 when the greater trail system was re-dedicated as Daspah Seyo Trail (Nisenan place name referencing the waterways in the Grass Valley area).
